This map of the British Isles has been developed to complement our current range of world wall maps – Future Maps. Its contemporary graphic design and top-quality print make it a stylish and informative point of reference for the office or home.
Colour: The zesty colours flow through administrative regions, removing the abrupt borderlines of more traditional designs.
Printing: The map is printed using a lithographic printing process onto a coated, silk-finish paper, with special colours, including silver metallic for the seas. The print is finished with a sealer, to protect the inks, and a gloss UV varnish is applied to the landmasses – for contrast.
Details: Shaded relief layer, international/national and administrative borderlines. Cities, major towns, highest peaks, major rivers/lakes, motorways, major roads and principal airports.
Scale: 1:1, 150, 000 (approximately)
Paper dimensions: 1000 x 700 mm
Formats: Paper / Plastic / Magnetised / Framed / Framed & Magnetised
Options
Paper: The map comes as an art-quality print, ready for framing or pinning/tacking to a wall.
Plastic Coated: We encapsulate the map in a gloss plastic, to give a durable write-on/wipe-off finish.
Magnetised: The map is encapsulated in plastic, as above, then mounted onto flexible sheet metal, to give a safe, durable, write-on/wipe-off surface to which magnets will cling. It is easily fixed to the wall using two magnetic strips that run along the top and bottom of the map. Supplied with the map are 12 stainless-steel magnetic balls to mark places of interest, and 3 stronger stainless-steel magnetic cylinders, allowing you to use your map as a notice board.
Framed: We frame our maps without glass, allowing the quality of the print to remain. The metallic nature of the seas and the gloss-varnished landmasses, add great surface finishes to the map which light plays off well. The maps are all printed with a sealer that protects the inks, allowing your map to be gently wiped down with a cloth.
Framed & Magnetised: Supplied with the map are 12 stainless-steel magnetic balls to mark places of interest, and 3 stronger stainless-steel magnetic cylinders, allowing you to use your map as a notice board. The surface has a write-on/wipe-off finish on which non-permanent or dry-wipe pens may be used.
